| Mosaic Renovation |
| St. Andrews School floor mosaic, is brought back to former glory. |
| When the unique hand-cut marble mosaic within the Head Master\\\\\\\'s quarters of St. Andrews School, Leatherhead, needed repairing, the School\\\\\\\'s Bursar turned to The House of Mosaics for help with its renovation. |
| Utilising some of the existing stone which had been salvaged by the school, one of our leading installers started about the task of repairing the mosaic. \\\\\\\"It was a specifically interesting project\\\\\\\", explained Adam Reading, the installer, \\\\\\\"as each tesserae was of some considerable thickness and needed carefully easing away from the concrete in which it had originally been laid, so as to allow for each piece to be carefully set back into the mosaic floor.\\\\\\\" |
| After some pain staking attention to detail, a good clean and full resealing, the mosaic was brought back to its original condition and should be seen by many generations of pupils to come. |

| Mary House Swimming Pool |
| Special needs swimming pool mosaics, designed and supplied by The House of Mosaics. |
| The Martha Trust is an organisation that looks after those with special needs and as part of the expansion of their Mary House facility in Hastings, approached The House of Mosaics to design and supply suitable mosaics for a new swimming pool. |
| Taking into consideration the very special requirements associated with impaired vision, The House of Mosaics designed a suitable blend of mosaics which would not only look inspiring to those with regular vision but would offer a sense of well-being and direction to those with impaired vision. |
| Utilising a series of Trend Glass mosaics, a border was designed which was placed around the outer base of the pool and towards the edge of each step leading into the pool. The defining border mosaics where taken from the main mosaic blend within the body of the pool, ensuring both a beautiful design whilst incorporating the special needs of those using the pool. |

| Tall Ships Regatta - Belfast |
| House of Mosaics commissioned to install mosaics for The Tall Ships Regatta Belfast |
| The Tall Ships Regatta is this year being held in Belfast during August and The House of Mosaics was commissioned by Peter Anderson Design Studio based in London, to produce and install nine circular mosaics, into the Belfast Harbour pathway. |
| The mosaics commemorate the ships produced in the Belfast shipyards, including the infamous Titanic, with the names of the ships being placed through-out the mosaics. The design, produced by Peter Anderson Studio depicts the names of each ship, obscured by a wave effect passing through the mosaics. |
| The House of Mosaics installation team removed the existing asphalt pavement and installed the mosaics and central steel plaque which again depicts the various ships and their histories. The Mosaics can be viewed alongside the Odyessy building waterfront. The Tall Ships Regatta takes place from the 13th - 16th August 2009 with numerous ships from around the world being present. |

| The Royal Academy of Music - London |
| The House of Mosaics is chosen to supply and install prestigious marble mosaics for the internationally-renowned Royal Academy. |
| As part of an on-going refurbishment of The Royal Academy of Music - London, The House of Mosaics has been chosen to supply and install new hand-cut marble mosaics throughout the refurbished entrance areas. |
| Consisting of approximately 146m2 of hand-cut, polished mosaic, the design is as per the original mosaic floor (see image) which was lost during earlier renovations. The House of Mosaics has been tasked with supplying tesserae of a similiar style to that as previously used along with ensuring the design and colours meet with existing mosaic elsewhere in the Academy. |
| Installation commences in early July, when our teams of specialists installers will firstly remove the existing tiled floor and begin the installation of the new mosaics. Due to a very limited period of installation time being available our unique off-site production of the mosaics enables on-site installation to be completed in 4 weeks, ensuring the Academy is ready to re-open for the Autumn. |

| The Wallace Collection - London |
| Unveiled, stunning classical mosaic supplied and installed by The House of Mosaics. |
| The House of Mosaics was approached by the architects for the prestigious Wallace Collection Gallery in central London in early 2008, to design, supply and install a hand-cut marble mosaic to fit within an area to be refurbished at the beginning of 2009. |
| In early 2009 the design was signed off and the mosaic produced and installed. The brief had been that the mosaic was to fit within the surroundings of this very public area, which is often used for functions whilst being at the centre of the activities within the Wallace Collection. |
| Fully completed in May 2009, the mosaic is now open to public viewing but the concept is that it should look as if it has been in place for a number of years. A result fully achieved. |

| Utopia Kitchen & Bathrooms Magazine |
| House of Mosaics makes a splash in Utopia Kitchen & Bathrooms Magazine. |
| In October 2007, Sasha Stewart, a Horse Riding Champion, visited our London showroom with plans demonstrating the basic layout of the house she was having built in Northern Ireland and wanted our help to select suitable mosaics for her main bathroom. The brief was that it was to have the \\\\\\\'WOW\\\\\\\' factor. |
| Following discussions with our lead designer Wendy Satchwell, designs and concepts were produced and in January 2008 work began on installing the stunning designs within the main bathroom. All of this has been captured in the feature article in the February 2009 edition of Utopia Kitchen & Bathrooms. |
| To see the final results of not only the stunning bathroom but how Sasha and her husband set about completing their wonderful home, visit the web-site link below or obtain a copy from your local leading news suppliers.
Finally our thanks go to Sasha, Andre and their new born children for allowing the magazine to carry-out the feature and to show the world what can be achieved with a little imagination and the help of our leading designers. |
